Cookie policy
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device. They let a site remember things between pages and visits, such as that you are signed in or what is in your cart.
2. How MyPetTag uses them
MyPetTag uses only the cookies it needs in order to work. It currently sets no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and it loads no scripts, fonts or other content from third parties: everything on a page is served from our own site. All the cookies below are set by us (first-party). Cookies that are strictly necessary for a service you ask for do not require your consent, which is why they are set whatever you answer on the cookie banner.
3. The cookies we set
- .AspNetCore.Identity.Application: keeps you signed in. Lasts until you sign out or close the browser, or up to 14 days if you tick "Remember me". Strictly necessary; set only when you sign in.
- .AspNetCore.Antiforgery: protects forms against forgery, so another website cannot submit one on your behalf. Lasts until you close the browser. Strictly necessary.
- .AspNetCore.Culture: remembers the language you chose. Lasts one year. Necessary for the language choice to work.
- .MyPetTag.Cart: keeps the items in your cart so they are still there when you come back. Lasts 30 days. Strictly necessary for the cart.
- .AspNetCore.Mvc.CookieTempDataProvider: carries a one-time message, such as "saved", to the next page. Lasts until the message is shown or you close the browser. Strictly necessary.
- mpt_consent: remembers your answer to the cookie banner. Lasts one year.
4. Optional cookies
There are none at the moment. If we ever add analytics or marketing cookies, we will ask you first, and nothing optional will load unless you accept. Refusing never stops you from using the site.
5. Your choice
The cookie banner asks you to choose "Only necessary" or to accept optional cookies. You can change your answer at any time with Cookie settings in the footer. Your answer is remembered for one year, after which we ask again.
6. Controlling cookies in your browser
You can block or delete cookies in your browser's settings. If you block the cookies listed above, signing in, the cart and the language choice will stop working.
7. Changes
We update this policy when the cookies we use change. The version number and date are shown at the bottom of this page. More about how we handle personal data is in the Privacy policy.
